REDEMAT informa sobre a Avaliação de Conhecimentos Técnicos em Inglês
A Coordenação do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Materiais da REDEMAT informa que a Avaliação de Conhecimentos Técnicos em Inglês, etapa eliminatória do Processo Seletivo 2026/2, será realizada de forma on-line no dia 10 de junho de 2026, às 9h, no horário de Brasília (Brazil Time).
O exame consistirá na interpretação de textos na área de Materiais. Será permitido o uso de dicionários durante a prova. O link de acesso à videoconferência será enviado por e-mail aos candidatos, e o link para o formulário do Google contendo a prova será disponibilizado durante a videoconferência.
Conforme previsto no edital, o candidato que não alcançar a nota mínima de 60% será eliminado do Processo Seletivo.
Dispensa da Avaliação de Inglês
Poderão ser dispensados da Avaliação de Conhecimentos Técnicos em Inglês os candidatos que tenham apresentado, no ato da inscrição, certificado válido de proficiência em língua inglesa, emitido nos últimos 5 anos, obtido em exame reconhecido internacionalmente, tais como TOEFL ITP, TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Cambridge English Qualifications ou exames equivalentes, desde que atendidas as pontuações mínimas estabelecidas pelo Programa.
A relação dos candidatos dispensados da Avaliação de Conhecimentos Técnicos em Inglês será divulgada em 09 de junho de 2026, por meio de notícia publicada no site da REDEMAT.
Candidatos cuja língua materna seja a inglesa também poderão solicitar dispensa da Avaliação de Conhecimentos Técnicos em Inglês, desde que apresentem documentação comprobatória dessa condição e certificado de proficiência em língua portuguesa aceito pela banca examinadora, conforme os critérios estabelecidos pelo Programa.
Candidatos estrangeiros e proficiência em língua portuguesa
Não está prevista, no âmbito desta etapa do Processo Seletivo, a aplicação de uma prova específica de língua portuguesa para candidatos estrangeiros. Entretanto, conforme previsto no edital e na Resolução CONPEP nº 105, candidatos estrangeiros não oriundos de países integrantes da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa poderão ser solicitados a comprovar proficiência em língua portuguesa, preferencialmente por meio do Certificado de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros (Celpe-Bras).
Assim, os candidatos estrangeiros que não tenham obtido dispensa da Avaliação de Inglês deverão realizar normalmente a prova de conhecimentos técnicos em inglês, observadas as regras do edital.
Recomenda-se que os candidatos verifiquem previamente o recebimento das mensagens enviadas ao e-mail informado no ato da inscrição, inclusive na caixa de spam ou lixo eletrônico.

REDEMAT announces information about the Technical Knowledge Assessment in English
The Coordination of the Graduate Program in Materials Engineering of REDEMAT informs that the Technical Knowledge Assessment in English, an eliminatory stage of the 2026/2 Selection Process, will be held online on June 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., Brasília time (Brazil Time).
The examination will consist of the interpretation of texts in the field of Materials. The use of dictionaries will be allowed during the exam. The link to access the videoconference will be sent by e-mail to the candidates, and the link to the Google Form containing the exam will be made available during the videoconference.
As established in the call for applications, candidates who do not achieve the minimum score of 60% will be eliminated from the Selection Process.
Exemption from the English Assessment
Candidates may be exempted from the Technical Knowledge Assessment in English if they submitted, at the time of application, a valid English proficiency certificate issued within the last 5 years, obtained through an internationally recognized examination, such as TOEFL ITP, TOEFL iBT, IELTS, Cambridge English Qualifications, or equivalent exams, provided that the minimum scores established by the Program are met.
The list of candidates exempted from the Technical Knowledge Assessment in English will be published on June 9, 2026, through an official announcement on the REDEMAT website.
Candidates whose native language is English may also request exemption from the Technical Knowledge Assessment in English, provided that they submit documentation proving this condition and a Portuguese proficiency certificate accepted by the examining committee, according to the criteria established by the Program.
Foreign candidates and Portuguese language proficiency
No specific Portuguese language examination is scheduled as part of this stage of the Selection Process for foreign candidates. However, as provided in the call for applications and in CONPEP Resolution No. 105, foreign candidates who are not from member states of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries may be required to prove proficiency in Portuguese, preferably through the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners (Celpe-Bras).
Therefore, foreign candidates who have not been exempted from the English Assessment must take the Technical Knowledge Assessment in English, in accordance with the rules established in the call for applications.
Candidates are advised to check in advance the messages sent to the e-mail address provided during registration, including the spam or junk mail folder.
